Stickers Suck

Snacking is one of my favorite sports. I try to be cognizant of eating nutritious snacks, so I have a bowl of fruit handy with apples and bananas. What I want to know is who puts those @#$? stickers on the fruit? It's not just one apple or one banana, it's all of them.

I think whoever does this has some major psychosis going on. It's a global plot to turn us all into raving lunatics. There are some serious practical problems with this.

If you don't have long fingernails, you're doomed to eat the stickers along with the fruit. Have you ever tried just peeling off the sticker? Of course it doesn't come right off. By the time you're finished with your annoying sticker removal, you've gouged a hole in your apple or bruised you banana (no pun intended guys). I tell you it's a real pain in the posterior.

That's why I like my chocolate Teddy Grahams. No muss. No fuss. No sucky stickers.

Just be glad fruit doesn't come in those molded plastic cases that take dynamite or a log splitter to open. Seriously, every one of those cases should come with a band-aid inside to fix the finger you cut trying to get into the dang thing. Given the choice, I think I’d rather eat stickers. Speaking of hard plastic cases... I wonder if Newt has as much trouble getting Callista open? Probably none of my business ;)

when you wash you fruit before eating it, if you don't wash them you should, but i digress, use slightly warm water and the stickers slides right off.

Oh yes, Randy, those plastic containers need Rosie the Riveter to open them. Poor Callista. I really think itsme should send her the cookies.

Lightly, you should start a blog on helpful hints and healthy recipes. You have a great chicken recipe using grated tomatoes.

lightly just wants everyone to be healthy and miserable like he is.

Must be a problem in the US only...I dont seem to have that problem with my Canadian fruit.

Lightly isn't miserable, maybe a tad cantankerous from time to time, but we love him.

Maybe I'll move to Canada so I can avoid stickers on my fruit.
