Farmers are now using fermented cow manure to generate electricity. It creates an interesting image for me. Everytime I go to turn the lights on, I'll picture myself basking in the romantic glow of cow plops while sitting on the sofa drinking an ice cold glass of milk, eating a bowl of ice cream, or snacking on cheese and crackers.
Cows are udderly amazing critters. They provide us with some of my favorite food groups, and now are able to generate electricity in a Go Green environment.
The next time you see "Bessie" moo cow, be sure to give her a carrot or an apple and thank her for her contributions to the kitchen table as well as her donation to an environmentally correct society.
As for me, I'm currently trying to figure out how to use horse pucky as an alternative to gasoline. When I find out, I'll let you know.

It seems to me that horses ought to be able to do pretty much anything cows can do, except perhaps get up off the ground rear feet first.

horse pucky is un goood fartilers but its even an better fire wood
first u squeeze out all the juices, then compress them into little log shapes,
leave to dry for a week or 2
burns for a long time and strange on strange it don't smell .
but then again standing knee deep in it you might be used to the smell.
now if you have one of those big cast iron stoves linked to a water heater, you got both cooking heat and hot water, total win/win
Actually Ev, when manure is manufactured, cow manure is fermented, horse manure is not. Horses can also get up off the ground feet first.
Hey lightly I'll have to try that. I wonder how it'd be toasting marshmallows over those hp logs.
Wow, lightly, I'll never have to pay an electric bill again. Then again, I'll probably be charged some usage tax by our local politicians.
