Buzi

Today marks the day I've had Buzi for exactly one year. She's come a long way in a year, having been abandoned in the dead of winter by her previous owners and suffering from all sorts of anxiety. Now she's happy, warm, safe, and content.

A previous post explained that Buzi means "kiss" in Polish and is pronounced Boojee. Buzi will always be  my Valentine cat because of the month she came to live with me.

Of course I had to take a picture to share with all of you. She wasn't at all happy with the flower around her neck, but posed briefly for a photo op.

I'll always miss Bear. He was such a tough guy cat and was my constant pal for 11 years, but "The Booj" has wheedled her way into my heart and has become the diva of our home.

Be sure to adopt an unwanted animal. There are so many out there looking for someone to love them. February is the month of love and Valentine's day. Give an animal a good home.

Funky Socks

Funky Socks

It makes me happy to wear funky socks. Family and friends, who know this, buy me all sorts of socks for Christmas, birthdays, and for no other reason than to know it's my most favorite gift to receive. Socks have so many fun colors, patterns, and textures. With the new materials on the market, you can't go wrong with a cuddly pair of socks on your feet. Honestly, I'd rather get a frolicking-good-time pair of socks than a new Mercedes Benz.

Socks reflect the mood I'm in when I wear them, so there's no fooling anyone when people check out my feet to see the type of foot covering I'm sporting on any given day. Stay out of my way when I wear black socks!

I love those funky socks. My frame of mind is light-hearted 'cause I have a pair of the purple and blue striped ones on as I compose this post. Then again, it's Friday and I'm really looking forward to the weekend...socks or no socks.

Valentine's Day: You Never Know

Women never know what guys want for Valentine's Day. In order to figure out what to get my Sweetie on February 14th, I checked the "net" and found at least six things men want most for "V" day. I wasn't too surprised to find the following, somewhat surprised at others:
