This morning, Jon asked me what I wanted for Valentine's Day. I suggested, "Something sparkly." He smiled that handsome smile of his and said, "Oh great, I'll buy you a bottle of sparklng ginger ale."
I guess, with some men, women have to be VERY specific.
In case you were wondering what horse pucky is, you came to the right place. Pucky is synonymous with the other four letter word that begins with an "s" and ends with a "t" but is too crass to mention in polite company. There's a lot of pucky flying around these days and this blog proves it.

Is It Love or Lust
Love and lust is truly blind. If you have both, sexuality becomes a bond rather than a manipulative, controlling tool. What is the difference between love and lust? Sometimes it's both. This is where it gets tricky.
Lust:
- Thinking with the wrong head.
- Not thinking at all.
- You don't care about what she has to say.
- You're obsessed about what she looks like.
- You only want to be with her for the sex.
- You think about what's best for you and not for her.
- You're quick to anger when she says or does something wrong.
- You look at other women when you're with her.
Love:
- You have great chemistry.
- You get lost in conversation, hours seem like minutes.
- You think one another is the best thing since sliced bread.
- You think she's beautiful.
- She thinks you're handsome.
- You include one another in everyday plans.
- You have fun doing simple things, like going for walks, watching the sunset.
- You look forward to introducing her to family and friends.
- You want to spend time together.
- You don't push the the sexual experience, but wait until you're both ready. Just being with one another is what's important.
- You see a future together.
- You feel comfortable and safe with one another.

Drip Drip Drip...Love

Someone told me I need to slow down and smell the coffee, so I did. I not only smelled it, I stood and watched and listened and heard the drip, drip, fizzle sound the electric coffee pot makes while it perked my favorite brew.
It stopped me long enough to reconnect to familiar smells and places only reserved for special people who are no longer physically here. Great love has a way of doing that.
